Tibetan Women’s Association-Samyeling’s Exploitation of a Significant Occasion

Introduction

The Tibetan Women’s Association recently marked the propitious 34th birthday of His Holiness the 11th Panchen Lama at MajnukaTilla Samyeling settlement in Delhi. This day holds immense significance for Tibetans both within and outside Tibet, as it serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the 10th Panchen Lama for the Tibetan people. Additionally, this occasion presents an opportunity for us to advocate for the release of the youngest political prisoner in the world. This child was abducted by the People’s Republic of China at the tender age of 5, shortly after His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama recognized him as the reincarnation of the 10th Panchen Lama.

It is unfortunate that certain individuals and NGOs have exploited this significant occasion for their own political gain or to absolve an accused individual. Furthermore, it is disheartening to witness the participation of well-meaning Tibetans in such unethical behavior. However, it is our responsibility to disseminate accurate information and report on actual events in a prudent and effective manner. Therefore, it is essential to bring attention to this unfortunate incident, which was proudly displayed in broad daylight to the general public. Unfortunately, many people took part in it without considering the repercussions, creating a harmful cycle of negativity. This regrettable situation reflects poorly on our community and elicits sympathy for the organizers who intentionally invited such an individual to this gathering. We are deeply saddened and disappointed by the actions of the Regional Tibetan Women’s Association of New Delhi Samyeling.

A Letter to Tibetan Women’s Association-Samyeling Delhi

@RTWA Delhi Samyeling Tibetan Women’s Association Tashi Delek, I am writing to you with extreme concern and disappointment, and discouraged by your recent action of receiving Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok with high regards on one of the program initiated by RTWA Delhi Samyeling, specially, when I call out on RTWA of Shillong being responsible for letting people like Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok on top, even after protesting against him for being sexually assaulted young women in our community, especially in the monk robe.

Your actions is also being recorded in the history for lifting up and promoting such sexual abuser in their political career. And you all are equally responsible for this. If you think you can’t handle the positions better why don’t you let the position pass to someone who are able.

Being a Women association how are you setting an example and how are you going to answer for someone who is accused for sexually abusing in our community. How are you going to stand for person like Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok and how are you going to answer this to yourself atleast being a women association leaders or members. Kindly be vigilant in the future and be aware of the conduct of the people you bring them up as a chief guest because what you are doing is totally wrong. If I want I can send some socialists  under the name of sexual assault to majnu ka tilla right away to question your actions and your stand as women association. But my intention is not to cause problems in our community anywhere, so having said that you should either respect or stay away from being a part or promoting Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok and his political career.

Hello! Tibetan Women Association, you are confusing our younger generations with politics/ religion/ positions/ kindness/ goodness/ values/ power/ integrity/ dignity/ respect/ disrespect /socialism /groupism /ganging/ undermining/ underestimating/ threatening/ harassment/ overreacting/ overlooking. And such associations like yours are responsible for making our community dumb and dumber, silence us, making us as stupid as yourselves, selfish as yourselves. Since your actions reacts on the little community we live in everywhere is affected and we are seriously mad.

1. We are mad because our kids and younger generations don’t stay in touch rather stay away from our own community,

2. We are mad, for our community is suffering from multiple problems and never ending problematic issues, keep disturbing our peace of mind.

3. We are mad, as our people are suffering deep within and are not able to address their pain.

4. We are mad, because of you all, some of our brothers and sisters don’t dare to speak up the truth.

5. We are mad because you overlooked some of huge mistakes created by yourselves and cover it with confidence which is not acceptable anymore.

6. We are mad because of your existence you promote, some of mischievous political propaganda, statements, personal, agendas, attacks, and even lies and insults and cause insecurity and discrimination, disharmony among us.

7. We are mad, because of some of you and your actions, it reflects on the human behavior in our community.

8. We are mad, your ignorance and negligence has been proven negativity on your own platform as tibetan women’s associations that young girls don’t seem to be interested at all.

9. We are mad, because of some of you, “Tibetan women“ you include us in your association which is disrespected and disregarded time and again.

10. We are mad, just because you supposed to represent the “Tibetan  women“ don’t at all justify our stance as Tibetan women.

Be careful with your words, actions, and opinions even though you are just an NGO. 🙏🏻

I hope these are reasonable and too many justifiable reasons to reflect back at your actions and why we are being mad for.

Conclusion

As members of the Tibetan community and advocates for truth and justice, we are deeply saddened by the abduction of Panchen Lama Gendun Choekyi Nyima, and we stand in solidarity with his parents and his monastery, Tashi Lhunpo. We remain resolute in our determination to forcefully and consistently advocate for the release of Panchen Lama and the restoration of his rightful place as one of the most revered spiritual leaders in Tibetan Buddhism. Despite the efficacy of NGOs and other entities in amplifying the Panchen Lama’s story, we, the people of Tibet both within and outside of Tibet, will continue to chant our rallying cries and maintain the unwavering momentum of our advocacy efforts.

It is imperative to recognize that Tibetan women’s association and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are primarily established to work towards the betterment of their respective communities and to achieve their stated aims and objectives, including providing essential assistance to those in need. Regrettably, the current situation has transformed in such a way that NGOs are being utilized as a tool to create discord within communities and promote political propaganda at all levels of society. This degradation of our society is a distressing sight, particularly given the presence of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. It is worrisome to contemplate the dire circumstances and critical situations that may arise after His Holiness’s departure.
